In March 2015, we became the owners of a run down and pretty much uninhabitable old farmhouse, or cortijo, in the beautiful Almanzora valley.

The acre or so of land in which it sits, has been sadly neglected, and years without irrigation have left the fruit trees untidy, unhappy and unproductive.

Our hope is to restore the house and land and become increasingly self-sufficient. Whether or not we achieve our goals partly, fully or beyond our wildest dreams, remains to be seen.
